Mawphlang Sacred Forest
Very small number of visitors go to the place.
Early in the morning of 19th March,2013 me and my daughter visited the forest.
Unexpected tranquility is the first thing that strikes you as you enter this sacred forest,
"Sacred" because the Khasi tribe does not cut any trees here. They believe that the forest is
source of a diverse flora and fauna which helps in curing various diseases.
One has to cross a thin stream to get in the forest.
You will certainly feel the presence of gracious God.
